The Patrol Division of the Blanchard Police Department is a group of men and women, consisting of 13 Full-Time commissioned officers and numerous reserve officers dedicated to protecting and serving the citizens of Blanchard and those that visit our growing City. The Officers of the Police Department are well-trained, ambituous, driven individuals working to serve the interest of the community and make a positive difference in Blanchard. The basic functions of the Patrol Division are patrolling Blanchard's jurisdiction, enforcing local, state, and federal criminal/traffic laws, conducting initial investigations of crimes committed, taking complaints and reports, answering alarm notifications, and numerous other law enforcement taskings.
The reserve officers work on a part-time, volunteer basis. They must complete either a full-time or reserve CLEET police academy before working on patrol. The reserve officers are field trained and work with the full-time officers in order to support the mission of the Blanchard Police Department.
The reserve program is supervised by full-time Officer Steve Lanier. The reserves consists of the following officers; Sergeant Darrell Hendrix, Chaplain/Officer Ron Wilson, Officer Daniel Werhun, Officer Jim Snider, Officer Brian George, Officer Steve Jurina, Officer Warren Paddock, Officer Anthony Valentin, Officer Laura Snow, Officer Tim Hudson, and Officer Justin Babcock.
